Our daily bread
For over 17 years, your purchases and generous donations have helped SHARE Nelson provide financial support for Our Daily Bread (ODB). We give our heartfelt thanks.
Located upstairs from SHARE, ODB is open to all members of society, Monday to Friday. It is a drop in service from 11:30am-12:50pm, with approximately 50 lunches served each day.
Meals are offered for a nominal donation of $5 each or $20 for a card of 22 lunches. Lunches can also be provided in exchange for volunteerism. On some major holidays, a turkey dinner is offered to the community, free of charge.
On certain days, additional community supports are also available such as student nurses, art therapy and Nelson's street outreach team.
It is incredible to have your support for this cause by creating the opportunity to provide nourishing meals and a sense of community to those in need.

A precious resource for any charity; our volunteers fill a necessary role in helping us reach our goals. They bring many life experiences to share and become our family. They encourage us to forge ahead with a smile and a helping hand. Volunteering is a great way to meet like-minded people in our community!
If you are looking to get involved, we would love to add you to our our volunteer team! SHARE is the perfect place if you have a few extra hours a week or need to fill those grad volunteer hours. Applications are available at our cashier or by requesting one via email to share@kcfoffice.com.
