We are extremely grateful for all who donate their
pre-loved items to SHARE Nelson.
It can be hard to let go of some things and would like to
thank you for choosing us to find a new home for them.
We could not support Our Daily Bread (Nelson's hot lunch program) without your help and at the same time, keeping reusable items out of the landfill. Thank you!
Over the years we have tried to sell just about everything, however some things just don't sell so well. So we've included a list of these items below.

WHEN YOU ARRIVE WITH DONATIONS
1. Leave donations in your vehicle - we are happy to come out and check your items.
2. Go to the donation drop off doors located to the left of our main entrance.
3. Ring the bell on the post and our intake staff will be with you shortly.
4. Staff will assess your items and take anything that is sellable in our store.
5. Stay with your items until they have been approved. Please don't leave anything behind that it not authorized by staff.
When items are left outside without our knowledge, they are subject to being affected by weather and other damage. Bags and boxes are often searched by others which makes an unsightly mess, thus rendering them as garbage and an extra expense for us.
As a non-profit organization we can not afford another's dump fees.
ITEMS WE DON'T TAKE AS DONATIONS
DIRTY / DAMP/ HAIRY/TORN CLOTHING OR LINENS
CLOTHING OR LINENS WITH STRONG ODOR -eg. cigarettes, weed, mildew, campfire etc.
DIRTY / BROKEN ITEMS / BROKEN RANDOM PIECES -not worth cleaning or needing repair.
CHIPPED OR DIRTY PLATES / CUPS
SHOES - Like new hiking shoes considered - Winter Snow boots will be considered starting October 1st.
OUT OF SEASON ITEMS -eg. gardening in winter, Christmas in summer etc.
CHRISTMAS ITEMS - we will consider these items starting November 1st
BABY / KIDS CLOTHING
STUFFED ANIMALS / DOLLS
TOYS - we will consider collectables, Lego, Thomas the Train, tin toys, cast iron etc.
SPORTING GOODS OF ANY KIND

BOOKS OR MAGAZINES -of any kind (we can no longer recycle these if they don't sell)

SMALL APPLIANCES (blenders, juicers, George Foreman grills etc.)
CEILING FANS
LIGHTING FIXTURES -eg. pot/track/fluorescent/ceiling lights (will consider stained glass lighting chandeliers)

BATHTUBS -will consider clawfoot
KITCHEN OR WASHROOM CUPBOARDS / VANITIES
ANY BED FRAMES - HEAD BOARDS - FOOT BOARDS
CHIPPED IKEA STYLE / PARTICLE BOARD FURNITURE
TV STANDS / ENTERTAINMENT UNITS with square space for old TV's
MATTRESSES or BOXSPRINGS (warranty mattresses under 3 months old will be considered)
KING MATTRESSES (depending on room in the store - some under 3 month warranty considered)
We are unable to sell the following due to CSA safety requirements:
